Curled Dock (Rumex crispus ssp. crispus) (16/09/2023) Southbank Equestrian, Henfield (bunny field). The tepals containing the fruits are the way to tell docks apart: this tepal from a Curled Dock is shield/heart-shaped. Clustered Dock instead has tepals that are elongated. Broad-Leaved instead has teethed tepals and Wood's are a bit similar but have round fruits.

There are two sub-species - ssp. crispus which is this one, and the redder ssp. littoreus which is normally by the sea.
