Reed Bunting ♀︎(Emberiza schoeniclus) (12/08/2008) Driftway, Upper Beeding, Steyning (garden). Very distinctive by the streaking on its body. Males Instead have a black head and a black bib although in winter they tend to be browner. The females seem to have a paler circle going above and below its cheek.

Reed Bunting ♂ and ♀︎ (Emberiza schoeniclus) (14/03/2006) Driftway, Upper Beeding, Steyning (garden). The male on the right at this time of year they don't have the black head and bib - instead brown. Female on the left is paler and with a more noticeable pale stripe alongside its eye.
