Common Buzzard (Buteo buteo) Family = "Accipitridae" (21/02/2009) Amberley Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre. This is our most common bird of prey. It has very distinctive wings and an unnotched tail. It is a member of Accipitridae along with Sparrowhaws, Harriers and Kites. Females, unusually, are larger than males although they look similar.
