Little Owl (Athene noctua) Family "Strigidae" (29/09/2008) Sussex Wildlife Centre. Again a bit of a cheat, but we do get them around here
Little Owl (Athene noctua) Family "Strigidae" (29/09/2008) Sussex Wildlife Centre. Introduced from europe in the 19th centuary, it is quite distinctive as it is small. Not often seen during the day as it hunts night and dawn mainly for worms and insects due to its size. It can sometimes get small mammals and birds as well.
